One job, done well
Every product does a small number of things completely. Scope creep gets thrown back in the water.
No accounts, no tracking
We don't need to know who you are to sell you a tool. We don't collect what we don't need, and we don't need much.
Honest limits
What a product can't do is written down next to what it can. Surprises belong in fiction.
Inspectable
Where a tool reaches a result, you can see how it got there. Software that says "trust me" is asking too much.
Sturdy over shiny
Boring, well-understood parts. Formats you can open in ten years. Nothing that breaks when a vendor changes its mind.
About the name
Flotsam, bedlam, and the bit in between.
Flotsam is what the sea throws back — the stuff worth grabbing before it sinks. Bedlam is the state of everything else. We operate at the intersection: pulling small, useful software out of the general commotion.
The mark is a three-spoke merchant's monogram — F, B, and the ampersand that holds them together — with three small circuit contacts on the spokes. Old trading house, new wiring.
We like tools that do one job well, respect your machine, and don't ask who you are.

Fifteen years running multi-site healthcare and housing operations in Miami — budgets, compliance, data, and the people who make all three work. Flotsam & Bedlam exists because the tools the work needed didn't exist, so he started building them.
